No School Today 1-15-24 Good morning, Due to extreme cold temperatures, Weston County School District # 1 will have no school today, January 15, 2024. The make up day will be determined at a later date.
Public Notice Weather We have made the decision to cancel the home wrestling tournament scheduled for Friday, 1/12/2024 due to forecasted temperatures and wind chill. We believe it is important to consider the safety of our students as well as the teams and spectators who would be travelling home at the conclusion of the tournament when temperatures and wind chills are at the most unsafe levels. We are also canceling all out-of-town activities for Friday (1-12) and Saturday (1-13). Winter storms can be unpredictable so please be aware of travel and any additional notices from the school. Public Notice All WCSD#1 buildings will be closed tonight. Students and Staff can pick up their vehicles. If you need to come into the building to get keys, you must check in at the office.
Public Notice Buses are starting their normal routes right now. Starting with the elementary and then picking up high school and middle school.
Public Notice Students and staff have been moved to a safe location. Parents or guardians listed in Power School may pick up their children at the given locations: Elementary students at the Lodge.MS/HS students at transportation bus barn (enter east entrance). Children’s Center students at the fire hall. You must check out your child with a grade-level staff member prior to taking them home. Parents who are unable to check out your child, WCSD #1 will run buses later but at a different time than normal.In light of today’s emergency situation, there will be no scheduled activities or practices at any school buildings this evening. Weight room and pool will be closed. We’ll continue to follow directions from local law enforcement. We will pass on more information as it becomes available.
