Weston County School District #1 has many resources available to help our students navigate through all of life's potential ups and downs. Below, please see our list of Staff that are great resources for our students.
We have a superb District Nurse that work day in and day out to help our students' with any and all medical issues they may have during their school day.
Our District has 4 highly-qualified Counselors and a School Psychologist that work tirelessly to help our students' feel safe and welcome in our schools. They work directly with Administration, Staff, Parents, and Students to be sure our students' mental and emotional well-being are always top priority. Please do not hesitate to reach out to any of them about Support and Resources available in our District.
Our High School has an excellent program for Student Suicide Prevention called Sources of Strength. Sources of Strength focuses on developing protective tools using an innovative, interactive and strength-based model. It focuses on eight protective factors: Mental Health, Family Support, Positive Friends, Mentors, Healthy Activities, Generosity, Spirituality, and Medical Access. You can learn more about Sources of Strength by following the button to the right, or by getting ahold of our Community Prevention Specialist listed below.

Our District has an excellent School Resource Officer that helps our students' navigate difficult times and helps the school work effectively with other entities within our Community. If you have questions about this resource please contact our SRO listed below.
Homelessness is an unfortunate part of all communities. Here at Weston County School District #1 we strive to help all students overcome trials and adversity, and some students unfortunately have to fight homelessness while still showing up everyday and working as hard as they can at school. We have two Homeless Liaisons in our District. Please contact them with any questions or concerns.
